S V Bye was established in 1933 and we continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients.
We have a substantial client base to whom we provide assistance with business and personal finance issues, and have built up a wealth of experience with particular expertise in the areas of :

- Voluntary Sector Organisations

As well as the Accountancy and Audit skills you would expect, our four partners and support staff also have individual specialist skills which enable us to provide our clients with a first class service, whatever the size of the business.
We have a dedicated Tax Department offering a comprehensive service for individuals, sole traders, partnerships and companies. We liaise with HMRC on our clients’ behalf and use up to the minute software to enable our clients returns to be submitted in an efficient and timely fashion.
We also have an experienced Payroll Bureau department which deals with the payroll needs of over 200 businesses, with employee numbers ranging from 1 to over 100.
At S V Bye we also aim to give our clients the benefit of the latest technology by ongoing investment in the latest versions of Sage Accounts Production, Sage Payroll Bureau, and Sage Taxation Software. Wherever possible and appropriate, we also aim to use online services in our dealings with HMRC, sharing with our clients the efficiencies and financial incentives that this brings.
In April 2009, we were pleased to welcome John Barnes into the S V Bye Practice. John has joined us having built up his own successful Bookkeeping, Payroll and Accountancy business over a 20 year period, based from his former office in Stockton on Tees. We welcome John’s existing clients on board and hope to add value to the work John has done for them over the years, by offering our comprehensive range of in house services and expertise. Equally, John will be a valuable addition to our team as we look to develop and expand our Bookkeeping and Payroll services now and in the future.
We have also made a significant investment into an electronic Document Management System allowing us to reduce the environmental impact of keeping duplicate paper records and ultimately affording us the efficiency of being able to locate up to six years archived records electronically.
